Welcome to Kiama Farmers’ Market
Coronation Park @ Surf Beach
The Kiama Farmers’ Market is held EVERY Wednesday and has moved from its original Black Beach location to the new home of:
Coronation Park at Surf Beach* – Located on Manning St. Kiama
You couldn’t wish for a more picturesque backdrop for your weekly shopping expedition! The market is started each week by the “ringing” of the bell and runs from 3-6pm when Daylight Saving is in place and then reverts to 2-5pm in the cooler months when Daylight Saving comes to an end. No market trading takes place until the bell has been rung.
*The market was forced to move from Black Beach in June 2016 after a storm severely damaged the infastructure at Black Beach. The market was offered a new “temporary” home in Coronation Park at Surf Beach until Black Beach was repaired, however the feedback from the community was that they preferred the market being based at Surf Beach. The circular layout of the market created a lovely “village green” affect that was embraced by the community.
A new website is currently under construction with images and updated information about the Surf Beach location.
PLEASE NOTE: WINTER MARKET HOURS OF 2-5PM WILL COME INTO EFFECT AS OF WEDNESDAY, 5 APRIL 2017.
Ours is a true farmers’ market that cares about the origin of food and the protection of local grower’s, producer’s and maker’s. Our aim is to also create a weekly market that is embraced by the community, where friends and family meet up as they fill their shopping baskets.
Each week you will find a wonderful selection of seasonal produce being sold directly to you by the farmer or maker. Along with fruit and veg you can expect to find – oysters; local beef; honey; eggs; milk straight from the dairy; gelato made from local milk; fresh cut flowers; cider; wine; mushrooms; cakes & tarts; preserves; sourdough bread; Wagyu beef; coffee fix; plants & seedlings; olives & olive oil; yoghurt; cheese; street food and ready-made meals….. and lot’s more!
